Beth Davies was born in London, England in 1988, and most of her childhood was spent in a small village not far to the northwest of that city. From the day she first picked up a crayon she has had a passion for arts of all sorts: visual arts, music, writing; but, by far her greatest love is for drawing. Looking back through over thirteen years of school notebooks, you would have to search hard to find any evidence of actual school work - the pages are filled instead with hundreds of pencil doodles, character designs, epic scenes and mini-comics. She may not have emerged with top grades in mathematics, but the quality of her work excelled with every passing year, and by the time she was 16 she was taking paid commissions over the internet.

Beth now lives on the beautiful Vancouver Island, BC, where she emigrated with her family in 2002 to live her dream of roaming the forests with her dog, Rayda. She devotes as much time as ever to her art, with a never-ending list of new clients hoping to commission her, and has expanded her mediums to include paint both real and digital, textiles, and her new favorite: blacklight-reactive art. In the near future she aims to learn airbrushing techniques, as well as working on the fledgling graphic design company she and her partner recently started up.
Beth's art is characterized by her evident love of animals and of the natural world, and also by her love of life which becomes apparent through her use of vibrant colors and character designs. She portrays herself online as an ermine (or white weasel) with sabre teeth, and has used the online psuedonym "Sabretoothed Ermine" ever since she first came online many years ago. Nowadays she is known mostly as "The Ermine", and the name has even crossed over into her offline life to some extent.
